Bill -

I use portable AC coolers in my house - one is a Cenvair from Australia and
the other is a SlantFin. They are pretty much the same as the 12-volt ones,
and the cost is about the same. They lower the air temperature from 15 to 20
degrees in a room that's larger than my Bambi. They just use water - no ice.
