[VAC] Rear Bath Structural Problem ??

Greetings,

We're considering the purchase of a 1976 rear bath Soverign. 

I''ve heard there is a potential structural problem with 1970's vintage 
Airstreams due to the weight of the holding tanks, etc.  The symptoms were 
described as the center section bowing out over the wheel wells, and possible 
some seperation of the skin in the rear.

Can anyone comment on this ? How common is it ? Are there detailed plans 
available for repair and/or re-enforcement to prevent the problem ?  Does 
anyone know of shops who do the repair ? We're in Northeast New Jersey but 
would be willing to travel.
