Re: [VAC] Rear Bath Structural Problem ??

Hi Herm and Gail,

There's an Airstream dealer by the name of Parkview in Smyrna, Delaware (800) 433-1348. They have
the skills and equipment to take care of any structural problems. The problem you describe occurs
when owners towed their Aistream with the waste water tanks full. Anyone who paid attention during
their high school physics class would recognize they should not have done that.

There are no problems with the weight of the empty tanks. The "fix" is simple and you may want to
consider doing it yourself. I'll list a few websites relating to RV and Airstream maintenance. The
one by Tom Patterson has tons of archived material from this disussion group - including how to deal
with structural problems.

Take plenty of time during the looking stage. It's worthwhile to inspect a dozen before you reach
for your wallet. There are some outstanding units available at reasonable prices for the discerning
buyer. There are also some dogs, which are mechanical disasters, but look good cosmetically and sell
for the same price.

Hope you find a solid unit,

Terry
