It made no difference polishing over the edges of what was already done.  
It did  splatter a little over on the new but I just wiped it off when 
days work was done.   I  started at the front section , going from side 
to side.  Then I went down one side then down another, and did the rear 
similar to the front.  Did the very top the very last so I wouldn't have 
to move my  platform ladder.
