	**Depending on the model**.. stove valves are cheap- around $10-20 each.
What he told you was right- the new stove valves are the same way, grease
is the gas tight seal, but- for me (and my insurance company) it isn't
worth it to try to fix, it's easier to just replace (note that you could
have an expensive valve- in which case.... never mind).
