 I can't say as to how durable they are, but I installed 4 flourescent
lights in my '68 G.T. last year, and they worked all season and are
still going strong.

They use about 1.7 amps as opposed to the 4-5 amps that the stock
incandescents draw. When you start doing the arithmetic to see how long
you can run on your battery alone or how much you need to invest in
solar panels, you'll see the significance of that savings.
