well if you live in Seattle there is Boeing surplus.
You might try a scrap yard that might have some odd stuff. The problem is
that not many people use flat AL sheet. But I think you will find that the
money you save does not make up for the unknown quality of an old piece of
aluminum sheet from god knows where. (former nuclear core shielding)Think of
the time it has taken for you to do the project and finish it. A 4x12 sheet
is a lot also, you may have some left.
