Vanessa, We have been towing an SOB, and now a Caravel (3700# loaded) with a '96 Ford F-150 shortbed with the 300cid I6 and a 5 speed manual (which is about it's max rating). It's been a nice general purpose tow vehicle, and gets about 15mpg towing. To tow the 4500# you would need the automatic trans. RJ '65 Caravel
