Yes, they are all across the country.
Whenever I'm stuck for parts, I ask any 
tow truck operator where he tows RVs 
that were in an accident. It really isn't
hard to find a wrecked Airstream. It may 
take a few times asking before the part 
you want is on the wreck you find.

We know one VAC member who bought a
wrecked 34' Airstream and scavangered
everything he needed for his vintage 
and then sold  the wrecked Airstream 
back to the same junk yard. 

What he paid for in parts was paltry 
when he considered the difference in 
what he got when he sold it back from
what he paid for it. Having your own 
personal parts store in your back yard
while you can take your time and 
be creative is worth something.
