I think they were on the lengthy AS options list, with such things as
the exterior light, clock, TV antenna, etc.  You could customize your
airstream to suit your needs.  I guess it wouldn't make sense to have
the drains if you lived in So. Calif.  Our trailer was made in Ohio
plant.  I've seen the drains on a 72 Globetrotter & a Bambi, so they
offered them for a while at least.
