For a fair chunk of 5 years we traveled with an Instamatic 6 cubic foot
refer that would not run on gas on the road. With a typical load of "stuff"
in it after having operated for quite some time at temperature our
experience was the refer did not significantly loose its "cool" over a
typical travel day. Just plugged it in when we got there and it quickly
caught back up.
