Your extension cord is probably a maximum of 16 gauge wire.  The place
you're plugging it into is maximum 15 amps.  Depending upon the model
and size of your air conditioner, you may be demanding nearly 30 amps to
start it's compressor.

The best solution is to use #10 or at least #12 wire and run a special
circuit from your house service entrance with a 30 amp breaker to the
trailer.  Use a standard trailer AC socket at the trailer end so you can
just plug in.

Anything less will be VERY unsafe and can cause a fire in the house; in
the trailer;  or both.
