Re: [VAC] Univolt converter
Dave- Your setup sounds similar to my 64 Safari- not a charger at all. On
shore power, a12volt circuit for lights, and a 17 volts for waterpump, and
fans, When I replaced my water pump a couple of years ago, I discovered that
that xircuit was AC, and had to put in a simple diode, otherwise the pump was
on , but not pumping anything. My recent work has included removing the range
hood fan, and put in a 12 volt "pancake" fan, with a flexibel duct. I still
need to locate a switch/potentiometer before I run this on 17 volts, or it
won't live long. Most times, it will be ok, as usual operation is Solar Panel
& 12 volts. let me know if you learn anything more on this- I think my pwer
supply will one day give out, and be looking to change out to a all-in one
Charger/inverter rig. Thanks, Jere Potter #1877
