BIG FAT extension cord. At least 12, preferably 10 gauge copper. If you
have a 30 amp plug you need 10 gauge copper as a minimum. The permanent
outlet is a super idea, that puts the wire either underground or
overhead out of reach of the lawn mower (or goats). The wire for the run
is only too big when it won't fit the receptacle. Then it can be
pigtailed to fit the receptacle.
