Re: [VAC] Plumbing woes

Leslie,
Although I've had my toilet out, I didn't pay attention to how the
mounting flange is attached to the tank. From your description, it would
seem that it's either screwed onto an intergal nipple or has a nipple
that's screwed into a female fitting in the tank. If it's the former,
you could split the toilet flange with a hacksaw or (my favorite) an air
cutoff tool with an abrasive wheel. If it's the latter, you could split
it with a hacksaw; it'd have to be one that doesn't have a frame, just a
handle for the blade. Split it two places and collapse it into itself.
