Re: [VAC] Bubble update
Ken & Molly:
Am I interpreting this correctly? Are you planning to tow your
trailer without trailer brakes? That may be illegal in your state; I think
it is in many (most? all?) states.
If your trailer becomes detached from the hitch, you generally
*want* the brakes to apply and keep the trailer behind you; w/o brakes, how
would you stop w/o having the trailer bang into your tow vehicle?
I'm not sure what you mean by "pull my rear end around," but I
think the trailer brakes would simply pull the trailer straight behind your
truck, not pull the truck's rear end to one side (unless, of course, it
became detached by running off the road, which seems unlikely) I've never
experienced a detachment - most people don't - but trailer brakes are a
plus in most circumstances. You may be able to think up a situation where
they are not a plus, but I've tried and came up with nothing.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
