[VAC] RE: Fabric search Sanitize

Jacque,
Zep makes a good disinfectant and can be found at
Home Depot. If not available use chlorox and follow the
instructions on the jug. Saturate the foam and let stand
for required time. Then preferably sun dry by standing on
long vertical end and then after most liquid has drained
squish the bottom with a gloved hand. If you want to be
real fast, get a wet dry vacuum and a garbage bag
(smaller cushion). Place the foam in the bag, place the
hose end onto the foam, wrap the plastic around the hose,
turn on the vacuum and that thing will get flatter'n a
pancake in about 10 seconds. Presto the liquid will be
gone. Remove from bag and let dampness go away. This also
gives it a good cleaning. Larger pieces can be double
bagged as the suction will close the plastic seam.
By the way to restuff the cushion use a fresh bag and
vacuum in down. Remove the hose and while holding bag
sealed place in cover. Release the opening and presto it
fills the cover. Pull cover to fit and tear the bag out.
If you use a cloths bag it may be thin enough to leave in
place.
Cotton batting spring units need to be done
professionally.
