Gary, If your trailer was not designed to have the weight back there, do not
put it there. Forget about the frame for a minute. What about tongue weight?
You need a certain amount of it for the trailer to handle properly when
towing. The effect of putting 240# of bateries in the rear end MAY have the
effect of lessening the tongue weight by the same amount. 240# is a lot of
weight.
