After Airstream had to stop using the Armstrong AC they first changed to
the Coleman TSR. When the TSR went out of production they changed to the
Dometic Penquin series. In order get the flat bottom AC to fit on the
curve top coach a combination adapter/drain pan is used. Unfortunately
the Coleman TSR was a longer unit and doesn't fit under any current
production unit. Airstream would love it, they have quite a few left
over. While the available adapter/drain pans make it easier to mount an
AC unit, it is not the only way. We have fabricated installations on
several occasions on older Airstreams with good success. Nothing a
little creative engineering wasn't able to overcome.
