Re: [VAC] Early style awnings, info needed

Trike, If the previous owners of your 54 Tradewind were WBCCI, and they
went to rallyes, it is possible, those 4" tubes were used to carry flags
and flag poles. Many in the club fly flags. Usually , three flags, a
United States flag, a home state flag, and a unit flag. It is also
possible they had an old fashioned awning that was threaded into the
awning rail and held up by a contraption of tent poles and ropes and
stakes, a very untidy affair. Those type of awnings are usually blown
away after the first outing. The two mounts for poles at each end,
sound like flag pole holders, but could be holders for pipe stands that
help to 'stabilize the coach' when you are entertaining a crowd, or
having other activities inside the coach. Sometimes when you get ten to
fifteen people in your coach, it turns into a party. 8^)
