[VAC] New owners

We bought a '69 Caravel and are trying to make everything work.  So far, so 
good, leaking pipes fixed. We're to the oven (burners work). The pilot light 
works but the oven will not. We need a 1969 Magic Chef safety valve made by 
Harper Wyman. Model 5860 A-9.  (Thermo coupler works according to a 
repairman. He didn't find a part but will sell a new oven for $400+.)

I'll need help with refinishing paneling (after the oven) and so much more...

We have sent applications for appropriate memberships. I've enjoyed a week of 
lurking, but now hope you will be kind enough to answer a new owner's 
questions if I don't make a pest of myself.  Thanks.  JacqueT
