The 40 amp unit has a fan which is temperature controlled.  You can mount this
one in any orientation.  I have mine mounted horizontally because of limitations
in the compartment space.  I also cut a hole for better air circulation and just
fitted one of those round heating duct covers that are normally used in the
Motor Home.
