Don,
 It sounds like you might have an incorrect twistlock plug. The X, Y, Z
nomenclature is common for a 3-phase plug.

However, this is YOUR cord set and will only be used on YOUR trailer, so
it's probably not of great consequence as long as both ends are wired
appropiately and the outlets inside end up being correct.
