Re: [VAC] Elctrical Info

Don,
Connecting that twist-lock setup is easy, the screws are probably
color-coded:

The brass screw gets the black (hot) wire, the silver screw gets the
white (neutral) wire, and the green screw gets the green (ground) wire
attached. The ground prong is usually longer and/or has a little 'hook'
on it also.

In your trailer is a small circuit breaker panel with a neutral buss
(several screw connections on a common bar) and one or more breakers
with a common 'hot' connection. The incoming white wire goes to the
neutral buss, the black wire to the common 'hot' connection, and the
green wire to a ground screw in the panel. Note that the neutral
wire/buss should NEVER be connected to ground in your trailer! If the
wiring would happen to get reversed, say because of improper wiring at
the campground receptacle, your trailer body could become 'hot' in
relation to ground, causing an electrocution hazard.
