Al,
The hinge in question is pot metal of 1/4" thickness. The hinge loops have 
no flexibility. They simply break off. It has nothing to do with lube. The 
only way to use SS with this hinge and not fail is to not trailer. The loops 
cannot take the slight movement and vibration. I cannot use any of my SS. 
The doors will now fall off. I am not alone in this problem.
