I had to wipe some of the yellow droplets off the hinges....must be Snuffy's. Just hosed them good in the driveway then took the torch to them to them dry. The trailer has an A&E 5000 Travel Awn. The springs are shot and all of the aluminum pieces are rotted. Last month, I replaced the bottom brackets and feet with the new style. Next are the lift arms and push pins....lots of drilling and rivets. The old roller tube is OK, but not the springs. Once I get the new springs in...a new awning cover and valence. I can't get the old vertical stripped one, so it is getting a nice brown and yellow cover...Mocha...to go with the gold trim. Figured, with the blue, it would look too much like an shhhh....AIR STREAM.... Ken Wilson KE5DFR Cypress, Texas -----Original Message----- Ken, Somebody must have supercharged the snail because your package I left at the PO yesterday at 4:45 pm was delivered to you at 2:55 pm today! Poor snail must be smok'n! By now of course having had 5 hrs and my instructions, you have already installed the hinges. If you did not use my instructions, please remove and do again using my instructions, pretending you are not an engineer. Pay special attention to the Opre installation directions at the end in case something stronger than beer is needed. Please finish the Chinese version. Uh, Snuffy gave yours a destruction and acid test. Result: Pass! -Eddie- Houston, TX
