All fluorescent are ac 120 (110) volts, without exception. All have
filaments. All filaments are strongest when cold so that is why any bulb
should be turned off when moving, such as your drop lights. Only bulbs
without filaments generally are: neon, and LED, with few exceptions. During
travel, his bulbs are off.
Tom describes new bulb failure, both 12v and ac shore power. All are spiral,
name brand, and new. We all have experience with fluorescent tube lights
such as Thin-Lite. So the question is: are others with spirals in trailers
having his same experience? His voltage is good both battery and shore, so
voltage is likely not the answer, but after a days travel, are others
finding the spirals cannot stand up to trailering vibration, but tube
fluorescents can?
