Perhaps, just perhaps, the manufacturers do not believe that there is a
problem. Or maybe we are such a nich market and the price of this product is
so low that there is not enough margin for the type of profits that the big
companies would like to see. Perhaps the right VP just has not heard of them
or given them a try. Perhaps they or something like them are already in use
by the trucking industry. Perhaps it does not work and is not worth our
time.
As you point out balancing the tire with the traditional lead weights will
not help an out of balance drum. This product WILL. When it comes down to it
for about the cost of balancing the tire once with lead weights, one can
balance the whole wheel assembly with this product. This balance will adjust
for future wear and tear, will last longer than the tire if you (or your
tire mechanic) is willing to remove the beads from the old tire and place
