Thanks Bill, yes I've seen both those products, just didn't know the
names for them. Just the fact that they are heavier is very important
plus plywood being a known substance. Cuz that floor replacement is
not something you'd want to redo/redo.

OSB is oriented strand board, I think. Basically compressed wood
chips. MDF, medium density fiberboard, is a finer quality and
basically compressed sawdust. Both are heavier than plywood and cheaper.
