Dave,
I had the same idea of using an 8" muffin fan, just to reduce the amperage
used. The fan on my Minuet still works but really draws down the battery.
I have found the 8" fan at OEM Parts locally but they are $27 each, OK
better than $50.00 but still more than I want to spend. You could build an
array using 4 of the standard computer case fans but that may draw more
current than the old one.
