Hey Warren...and congratulations!

About light bulbs...you may very well find that your sockets are shot.  If so,
a thing which will make your lights work again, possibly longer and better
than original, is to solder pigtails to the terminals on the bulbs (very
carefully!!), and on the side of the bulb base (for the ground), then solder
those pigtails to the wires coming through the chassis.  You'll have to 'gut'
the old socket but, if it's shot anyway, who cares?

I don't know if you'll find ground wires in your loom or not but, if not, it's
a fairly simple matter to add a coupla lengths of wire to a known good ground.
With the touch connections (prone to corrosion) eliminated, your light bulbs
will probably last forever.
