I believe the ones you are referring to are the eight sided, either
black or white, phenolic knobs. They push in to latch and turn a
quarter turn clockwise to unlatch. The colored part resembles an
older plastic similar to Bakelite. I have three white ones in my
trailer that I switched out from black ones. I traded two straight
out and swapped out for another with some other vintage pieces. The
last remaining black one is worn out. These are really getting hard
to find so keep your eyes and ears open for someone who is completely
redoing their interior.
