Rudy -- when a friend of mine got in a wreck with his Nova, he was able to get a
higher settlement (in fact, to avoid having it declared totalled) because it was
a "classic" car. I don't think he used an independent adjuster, just got a
different section of the company that dealt with those kinds of claims. I
wonder if AAA has a section like that, that you could inquire about?
Definitely keep us posted, and don't give in -- you have a lot of good
documentation and if you stick to your guns, and maybe hire one or two more if
you have to, you have a good claim and a good chance.
