I have stayed at Terry Bison Ranch twice...it's pretty nice & very "kid
friendly" it is Wyoming though...hot, dry, no trees and potentially
windy. Lots to do onsite and in Cheyenne...they have cook-outs,
hay-rides, horseback riding etc - typical dude-ranch kinda things. It
is about 80 - 90 minutes from Denver and Breckenridge is another 90-120
minutes from Denver - so it's easily within a day's drive to the RMVAC.

I haven't stayed there, but have visited friends who have...it's pretty small but a nice small-town park. Golden is a quaint town, which is fun to kick around for a day or so...and is only 20 minutes from Denver if floating on inner tubes down Clear Creek isn't your bag.

There really aren't any campgrounds in Boulder proper...however, Golden
is only 20 minutes away (very pretty drive on HWY 93) from Boulder and
the Celestial Seasonings Tour would be a good 1/2 day outing from
there. No problem ~

I've not been to Carhenge..., just never taken the time. However,
another fun scenic place to stay in Nebraska is Chimney Rock Pioneer
Crossing near Bayard, NE and Chimney Rock. I have a photo on my website
that I took of a Denver Unit Caravan there...WBCCI uses it on their
Membership brochure...pretty cool. You can take a covered wagon ride up
to the monument and they too have a steak dinner BBQ that they put on.
It appears to be only an hour away from Carhenge...not sure of your
route, but it may work for you ~

See you soon - chat sooner!
