I had to replace the lights on my 69 Caravel also. Had to drill out the
old buckets and replace the entire light. As you know there is no way to
get into the back of the al holder. Had to be careful not to lose the wires
inside the walls. I then pop riveted the new lights. Seems like there
should be an led light fixture to replace the original lights. Could not
find one. Good luck. I expect that they will need to be replaced in
another 5-6 years, as water gets behind the bucket and the fixture will
rust. Has anyone else found a solution?
