RE: [VAL] Re: VAL Digest V3 #456

Tony,
Mine has a fill hose going from the side of the trailer to a fitting on the
top of the tank. This is accessed from under the sink. The small hose
going to the tank bottom is accessed via the rectangular plate and bolt on
the bottom of the trailer. I'm not sure if you can snake a new line from
the top of the tank to the bottom without taking down the entire metal
shroud holding the tank in position on the bottom of the trailer. The line
goes to the driver side of the trailer, down the side of the tank then back
to the curbside and attaches at the center of the tank. If you attach a
strong string to the old hose and pull it through, you may be able to snake
the new hose into position. If not, you will have to take the metal shroud
down or at least loosen it enough to get access. There are a lot of bolts
holding it in place and you will have to loosen or move the gas line running
along the bottom of the shroud. I have a service manual if you need more
info. Please contact me off list.
