Joan,
The info should be showning up in the next VAC newsletter. We did not
have all the details in time to get it in the last one. Info, has been
posted on the airstreamforums list, out to all in the WDCU and NEU
units and was sent to powers of the VAC. I thought I'd copied the VAC
list when I sent out the info, maybe I didn't. Thank for bringing up
the subject. There has been some interest in the caravan, not as much
as I thought. It maybe still early for some. I just hope people don't
wait until the last minute. We are staying at state/local CG's that
fill up early and fast.
I would say this is more of a traveling caravan to International,
taking a couple of days and just enjoying the trip down. It is not
like the ones of the past. Not sure way no one in the VAC stepped up
and did a "true" Wagon Wheels Caravan this year. I and Nancy were
planning ours, I drove the route back in the fall as a test. During
our planning, we were asked if we would like to call it the Wagon
Wheels Caravan by those in the VAC. I think it will be a good time,
it's a great route of 2&4 lane highways, plus some interstate. Only
about 225-250miles a day for those with old pullers. I plan to pull
with a 62 Galaxie Conv. We will be there on Monday, 25 for those who
wish to attend the IBT. If you have any questions, please let me know.
I'll do anything I can do to help.
