I used Bix stripper from Home Depot.  

It worked fine on my '71.  I'd say that Nuvite F7 will be a little rough to go right into the *final polish* (if  
there is such a thing ;-))  

I'd compound with C before the cycloing.  In fact, I'd go with C for the entire  
compounding stage unless you have some really bad spots then go with F7 as little as  
possible.  The reason is the cycloing will be much more dificult after the F7 does its thing.
