[VAL] RE: VAL Digest V3 #192

I am in the process of ripping up my old disgusting carpet. My thought is
that something washable would be most practical, my brother thinks that
carpet is good for insulation. I probably won't be using the trailer in the
winter, but maybe in "crisp" weather. My inclination also, is that putting
down squares will be the most manageable way to install in those small
spaces, rather than big unwieldy pieces of carpet or long strips of
laminate. What has been our experience? What worked and what didn't? Would
you make the same choice again? (If this is a relevant factor, I've also
pulled out all the old curtains and shades. My intent is not to replace
those old draperies and just get some fresh shades...so, there's also less
insulation at the windows now.) Why? Thanks for your advice. I'm a real
novice at this! Wendy
