Dan,

I think that you will be fine, I have a 1973 Dodge W200 PowerWagon with 
a 360 CI and 4.10 axles and it is fine for my 1979 Safari.  You probably 
have similar horsepower and torque to my 360.  It just doesn't get in a 
hurry going up hill.
