Re: [VAL]Storm windows

Ran into a traveler with a 75' AS and he had fabricated storm windows
from light weight, hardware store quality clear plastic. Using the
window screen frame as a guide he cut out a cardboard pattern and then
cut out the plastic storm window. When he replaced the screen frame he
left out a screw at top and bottom. Having previously marked these
screw holes in pattern he drilled out a screen hole in the plastic
storm. He could then screw the plastic storm window on to the window
screen frame thru these holes. These middle 70"s trailers had a
slight curve to the walls at the window so two screws could hold the
storms on quite tightly with tension provided. He had used some thin
insulating tape originally but later found this was not really
necessary. When he was in warmer climate he stored them under the
bed mattress. He had slight condensation at the bottom of the windows
which dissipated during the day. He claimed significant propane
gas savings when he traveled in north country in the late fall.
