I assumed that it would go without saying that the mud and  grime would have 
to be cleaned. I only glassed on the out side the joint between  the wheel 
well and the floor the reasoning being that when traveling on wet or  rain soaked 
roads water is thrown up with great force and calking will fail over  time 
and moisture will cause the floor to start to rot.That was what happened on  my 
65 Trade Wind. Fortunately it was not so bad that it could not be treated  
with penetrating epoxy.
