The answer to question 1 and 2 is yes. You really need to fix the furnace 
exhaust. There should be no gap there.
For #3 you can find the lens to the scare/flood light at a truck parts 
store, they will be cheaper there than other places. It's the same lens as 
the backup lights. When you go there you may also want to get some spare 
amber and red clearance light covers, usually about .37 cents each, at least 
at the place I found them.
