[VAL] 1960 Traveler Tire Size Question

Bought new tires and rims for our 1960 Traveler  700/15.  Same tires 
and rims I have put on all my Airstreams.  But this time, I have about 
1/2 " or less clearence between the tire and the frame at the front 
and rear of the wheel well. Can anyone with a Traveler, let me know if 
theirs is like this, or what tire they put on theirs?  I don't think 
this is enough clearence, any input would be appreciated.
