Actually, the inside portion of the door within a door of our '64 
GlobeTrotter is concave...and polished.  It melts a nylon carpet, no 
problem!  It has also been know to fry an egg during vintage open house 
displays.  We haven't started any fires (yet, thank goodness) but you do 
get a nasty sunburn if you stand too close ~

I have made a snap on cover to rectify this problem...
