Hi Ron,

I had a 2001 Tahoe and pulled a 03 25 ft. Safari for two trips 
and decided to trade in the Tahoe for a Suburban! I would NOT 
recommend towing a 31 ft. trailer at any weight with a Tahoe. 
It just doesn't have the length or the umph to tow that size 
trailer. You'll end up with tail wag every time on the road and 
you'll creep on the hills.
