Hello Steve, Hold the key in your hand, being sure to firmly grip the metal part, and touch the lock with the key. The spark will jump to the key and thence to ground without you feeling it. At least that always worked for me. And it might help to think nice thoughts about it as you approach the truck. Best regards, Rik
