Re: [VAL] Recirculating toilets

Vanessa,
I couldn't help but laugh when the thought of a "recalculating toilet" shot
through my mind. Perhaps Hunter has one?
Anyway, My 59 Ambassador came with one along with all of the original
paperwork on it and it was touted as an "Aircraft" type toilet. It is
essentially a recirculating portapotty that electrically recirculates when
flushed. Portapotty's are still used in small boats and some less expensive
campers. We have been using a manual version without a dump valve on the
bottom in our trailer until an original one is reconditioned and installed.
They work quite well and don't smell if you use the blue concentrated
deodorant. The only real hassle with them is emptying . I made up a
shortened "stink slinky" that connects to the portapotty and I simply empty
it into a regular toilet. It's not the prettiest job, but it is possible to
dump almost anywhere.

PS Thanks Tom for a job well done. I've been on the List for about 4 years
now and the change over was virtually seamless. Great Job!
