Sorry to hear of your troubles, unfortunate but common tale.  The dealer
may well be correct and be capable of good workmanship but it sounds
like he may not be the best one to deal with.  I would suggest going and
getting the Caravel and working with someone that at least can
communicate. This has all of the looks of a disappointing relationship.
Find a better repair facility or do the work yourself.
