Hi Daisy and Y'all,
I prefer a catalytic heater to a furnace because I consider I get about the 
amount of heat per BTU compared to a vented furnace because around half the 
heat genrated goes up or out the flue.  I also like the fact that I can dry camp 
and not worry about a conventional furnace's blower running down my house 
batteries.
